How Halloween: The Game Multiplayer Works
Section titled “How Halloween: The Game Multiplayer Works”This guide walks through the confirmed multiplayer loop for Halloween: The Game—what each side is trying to do, how matches stay varied, and what still needs launch verification.
The basic loop
Section titled “The basic loop”- Lobby: Up to 5 players—1 Michael, 4 Civilians (see /multiplayer/).
- Map load: One of the revealed Haddonfield maps (/maps/).
- Civilian phase work: Find residents, gather proof and items, rally police/NPC help, pursue an escape or detention plan.
- Michael pressure: Stalk, blackout lights, eliminate residents and Special Targets (/michael-myers/abilities/).
- End state: Civilians escape or detain Michael—or Michael wins by denying their objectives.
Civilian tasks in detail
Section titled “Civilian tasks in detail”Confirmed objectives include:
- Convince residents that Michael is real
- Escort or save residents under pressure
- Search the environment for items and contact police
- Use randomized escape options that change between matches
- Coordinate as police response escalates
- Command or equip NPC allies when the systems allow
Because escape and item locations vary, routes that worked in one match may not work in the next—IllFonic highlights this as core replayability.

When Civilians are eliminated
